It is the policy of the district to provide programs appropriate to individual educational needs. Programs for disabled students will meet the needs of those students as adequately as the needs of non-disabled students are met. A District Evaluation Placement Team shall evaluate all persons (birth through 21) who have been referred and may be disabled. If the team determines that the child is educationally disabled, the provisions of NHRSA 186-C, New Hampshire State Standards for the education of disabled students and the provisions of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act of 1990 (IDEA) shall be followed. If the team determines that the child is disabled within the meaning of Section 504, but not educationally disabled as defined by the IDEA, the Principal shall designate a group of individuals including the child’s parent/guardian and one or more other individuals knowledgeable about the child’s specific needs to develop a plan of accommodation. If the student or parent/guardian disagree with the plan, or its implementation, they may grieve their concerns following the procedures established
